12. The Craft Beer Company, Leather Lane.
Hardly a great pub name, it's a very obvious part of a chain but inside the bar and seating is very nice. By far the best thing about this place is the crazy beer choice. This place needs many a visit to get through them all.
Beers:
Magic Rock Brewing Custard Pie - cloudy amber colour like Nell mcandrews' hair, smells like pudding, vanilla notes. Fizzy.
Waen Brewery Drawn to the Deep End - blacker than the darkest recess of hell if someone had turned the light out, lighter stout flavour. Welsh so clearly superior.
11. The Seven Stars, Carey Street.
Continuing the film vibe, the Seven Stars is an old traditional pub with a vintage feel to it.
Beers:
Greene King London Glory - Dark and sludgy, milder, an anonymous drink, flavour lacking.
Sharp's The Cornish Coaster - dark golden, orange citrusy, smooth start, slight fizz.
10. The Bountiful Cow, Eagle Street.
A modern pub with a classic western/horror film vibe, not afraid of neon. It's small but snug and serves a good pint.
Beers:
Moorland Old Golden Hen - light golden colour, honeydew flavour, light, bitter.
Adnam's Southwold Bitter - subdued bitterness, smells fruity, aftertaste of sweetness, pale oaky look.
