9. The Admiral Codrington, Mossop Street.
Tucked away in a residential street. The admiral himself peers across the lounge wishing he himself could try the latest tipple. Comfy, warm, a bit like your nans front room that hasn't been decorated since the 80's.
Beers:
Upham Brewery The Tipster - pale ale, lingering bitterness, spiky finish, mild citrus.
Upham Brewery The Punter - pale brown, oaky finish, not too strong flavour, mild fizz.
Now a cosy and inoffensive pub with a fireplace, the Star once was the notorious meeting place of criminal gangs such as the great train robbers.

Fuller's Front Row - golden brown, no distinctive smell, flavour dulls quickly, nutty.
7. The Punchbowl, Farm Street.
A long narrow pub sandwiched between taller buildings. A bit of a joker. Displays classic art alongside the more avant garde. An enjoyable public house with character.
