A cold wet night in ladland and there are beers to be adjudged. Alas the lockdown has not yet been lifted and so the lads must make their critiques from the comfort of their own beer lounges.
Beers :
Whiplash Rollover IPA - pale yellow, opaque and frothy on top, strong bitter aroma, fizzy to the tongue, lemon curd colour, not too heavy or strong, nicely textured.
Anti-Establishment IPA - golden, light head, quite clear, steady, slightly strong, hoppy but not super bitter, quite crisp, a fairly pedestrian beer, nice but not as against the grain as one might have hoped for.
Williams Bro's Brew Co Brel Belgian IPA - more bubbles than a bubble bath, light hazelnut brown, no strong aroma, nut overtones, medium to full bodied mouthfeel, light cinnamon, two waves of flavour, very nice.
West Berkshire Brewery Snake Oil Double IPA - fizzy, good head, crystal clear, hoppy as hell to the nose, so bitter that Jeremy Corbyn would tell it to pack it in, fruity, citrusy, crisp finish on the tip of the tongue.
