The Lockdown Arms pt.2 + 5 year ladiversary

18/01/21

Back in a laddy lockdown with no end in sight, tonight the overly-dry duo celebrate 5 heroic years tumbling in and out of some of the best public houses London, and the wider south, has to offer. Cue many hours of downing a new batch of unique and interesting brews, and reminiscing on some of the lads finest nights and top tipples. Time to drink away the January drears and log into Zoom with some home-based beers!

Andy-lad's beers -

Dark Star American Pale Ale - cloudy like an overcast day, brownish, holds a good head, nutty on the nose, medium to fill bodied, nice texture, nutty flavours, little sizzle, nice to swallow.

Harpers Brewery Golden Ale - translucent, dark Amber, looks fairly fizzy, stale aroma, bittersweet initial taste, light bodied, pleasant but all too short lived like Owen Hargreaves footballing career.

Titanic Brewery Plum Porter - frothy on top, fruity red aroma, off white head, very sweet, towards the light side, unusual, quite bitter but smooth, long aftertaste, deep prune taste, very nice.

Matt-lad's beers -

Ghost Dance Chinook Pale Ale - good solid Amber, quite clear, no real head, slight citrus, a reliable pale ale, quite bitter, tasty.

Reservoir Dogs Starvation Black IPA - black as the singularity, sweet initial taste, slight bitter background, roasted flavours coming in afterwards.

Williams Bro's Brewery Studio 54 IPA - very Amber, slight head, rather bitter, like drinking fresh from the field, refreshing and tasty.
